I use High Contrast on my Windows 10 x64 OS. Settings > Ease of Access. My eyes aren’t a as good as they used to be. I’m using Version 6.3.3/0303 of SW. When I load a subtitle and click on a selection form the menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc.) the drop down window is white (cream) as are some of the options available. Some of the options are visible and some are not. The ones that are visible are inactive/unavailable. The ones that are not visible are active. If I hover over the active options the white text turns dark and is visible. I mostly use Edit > Timings > Set Delay.... I can get around as things are now but I wanted to bring up this issue in case others have a problem. By default the drop down window should be black and active options are white while inactive options are green, unless the user modified these defaults when setting High Contrast.

Version 6.3.3 is a fork of the original subtitle workshop. Please ask further questions there.
Regarding High Contrast, try in Subtitle Workshop 6.3.3 : settings, settings, look, program and check "Invert colors". I hope this helps.
