Hi. I am pleased with the changes you have made in SW 6.0b. It's just the changes I was expecting. In the meantime I saw that the team who made the original SW 2.51 realized SWXE and is one step ahead of you: they introduced now the possibility of manipulating the lines through waveforms. That's a thing you must adopt too, not like they did, but the way Nikolaj Olsson did with his Subtitle Edit. In fact, the lack of waveforms is what makes you No. 2 and not No. 1.
But that's not the subject of my message. I find SW a must have software, and I want it to be even better. I want to ask you if you experienced or heard anyone experiencing some malfunctioning with SW 6.0b after the latest Cumulative Update made by Microsoft to Windows 10. Because, after the update, I found SW reset to default. I made my settings but, since, the lines don't appear on movie preview screen. I reinstalled SW, made the settings again, the lines appeared, but, after restart, they disappeared again. The "Show Subtitle" button became futile.
That's the problem. Now I have a suggestion to make. Or perhaps a question to ask. I figured out a way to color the opaque box, to give a color to the lines' background, in order to cover the forced subtitles. But I can't save these changes in the SSA format, in order to hardsub the translated subtitle.
I can't save the position of the lines under the movie, neither. Is there a possibility to do it?
And now a suggestion: could you make the opaque box transparent? Not with the transparency button in the Settings, but a true transparency, a glider that would permit to set different degrees of transparency.
Thank you for your attention and I hope you'll consider my proposals. An answer would be great.
Yours,
selaflaure
