Please explain the problem better. What do you mean by "the lang changes automatically"? Can you provide screenshots?

  • Andrey Spiridonov

Is this also happening when you are using Subtitle Workshop 2.51?

not me only who had that prob.

When exactly does it change? The moment you click on the next subtitle, or after you click in the TEXT box to edit it?

    Are you using Windows 7?

This is probably a Windows-releated problem, because Subtitle Workshop doesn't deal with the input language at all. Most people don't experience such a problem and Subtitle Workshop definitely wouldn't do such a thing on purpose.

Please try to play with your Windows regional and language settings and see if those affect this issue.
Try changing your default language for non-Unicode programs to your language (Arabic?) - go to Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Administrative -> click on the "Change system locale" button:

Also, try changing your default input language to your language (Arabic?) - go to Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Keyboards and Languages -> click on Change Keyboards:

As I said, most people, including me, don't experience such a problem with version 6. You and your friends are the only ones.

SW6 uses new controls for the Text and Translation fields, that might be the cause of the problem. However, those fields as well as the input language depend on your Windows system. I assure you, Subtitle Workshop doesn't change your input language by itself.

It's good that you know about the language controls. So did you try to change your default input language?

I'm trying to work out a solution for you, but if you don't want to help yourself, you're free to use the old version or anything else, it's your choice.

      Hmmm...
I have three keyboards installed: English, Estonian and Russian. Language for non-unicode programs is set to Russian, I use all formats as Russian, but location Estonia.
Here is no problem with autoswitching problem from RUS keyborad to something else.
We try to get same problem as you to fix this bug ASAP.

  • Andrey Spiridonov

KiLLeR-SpIDeR, please try to temporarily install another language, like German for example, and see if you have the same problem when you're typing in German. I realize you probably don't know German, just do it for a test. It will help us fix your problem.

    Thanks

I'm working here with PT language and PT-BR keyboard.
Changing lines with SHIFT-ENTER or CTRL-ENTER does not switches language or keyboard settings.
All is fine, here. No such problem at all.

    • Andrey Spiridonov

      Thanks for reporting this!

  • Andrey Spiridonov

We have released Subtitle Workshop 6.0a.
    Download it from this link

It should fix the automatic input language switching problem.
