I've been Subtitle Workshop user for more than 5 years, on several versons
of Windows, and never got a problem like that before. Version 2.51 is which
I currently use and prefer the most. The operating system is Windows 10,
    x64.

As the title says, the program gives me the "SubtitleWorkshop.exe has
stopped working" error the moment I insert .MKV video file and crashes. I
suspect it might something to do with my recent Windows update because
everything ran perfectly last time I checked, which was a couple of days
ago. I should add that .AVI files work just fine, thus the problem is
    explicitly with .MKV format only.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

    Any suggestion would be welcome!
