Refreshing a little bit the project I ended up with two new releases dealing with "better" binaries ; the source files did not change.
1. subtools-20060508
This release is the same as the previous subtools-20060508 but adds :
- all required binaries to run udvdshift and udvd2srt on Windows without the need to install Python
- the cygwin1.dll library, which is a requirement for srtrate.exe and srtshift.exe and was missing in the previous releases (http://sourceforge.net/tracker2/?func=detail&aid=2195499&group_id=58188&atid=486833)
Since the package's file is quite big now, the old subtools-20060508alpha remains available for download.... read more
Currently alpha, and written in Python rather than in C :
- udvdshift.py : like srtshift
- udvd2srt : converts from MicroDVD to SubRip
Maybe udvdshift will be integrated to subtools.c ...
I needed another functionality : to change the 'frame' rate of a given subtitles file. Therefore I added a new tool to this project : 'srtrate'. This tools simply takes 3 arguments : the old rate, the new one and the .srt file.
The package is now designed as a set of commands. There are 2 executables programs that can be copied into a directory included in the system PATH. 'adjustsrt' as been renamed as 'srtshift' but remains the same.... read more
20021010beta goes 'mature' ; it's now named 20021010.
There will probably be no further releases, since it's doing its job.
The README.TXT and CHANGELOG.TXT in the package are now in DOS mode (CR/LF), so Windows users can view them with the notepad ; that's the only change.
because I should have done that before ;)
the only post that was inside has been pasted into a new thread in the "Help" forum, so there's 0% lost
Don't look further for the package : it's stored on SourceForge now (not within the web page anymore).
Linux compatibility bug corrected.
Someone in the forum ask for the files, because he couldn't find them. This is normal, because they are outside sourceforge by now. So check http://subtools.sourceforge.net in any case, it will redirect to the correct url.
The TODO.TXT is not empty but at least, adjustsrt is fully tested on linux and windows.
I'm waiting for feedback on bugs.
I'm having problems with sourceforge's release system : the files are broken while uploading.
You can download the releases from the home web page : http://subtools.sourceforge.net.
Meanwhile, I'm waiting for SourceForge support.
