This is a rather bizarre bug.

Once I added an Unicode superscript line into the subtitle editor, the application started behaving strangely.

I can no longer switch the keyboard layout in the system (unfortunately, I use a very different set of layouts) - visually, it seems like when I click on different items in the list of subtitles, the system switches the layout to English. What is actually happening is that the system layout is already switched to English, just not updated visually. This leads me to believe that Subtitle Workshop seems to be constantly giving the system commands to switch to English. This isn't a stuck keyboard button, as I only switch between languages with the same hotkey combination, as I do not use a hotkey combination to change into a specific layout (i.e. if that was the issue, then the layout would be spasming and constantly changing languages instead of always setting it to English).

The line was as follows (might lead to a duplication of the problem):
⁽ᵗʰᵃᵗ "ˢᵃʸᶦᵈ" ᵗʸᵖᵒ ᶦˢ ᵒⁿ ᵖᵘʳᵖᵒˢᵉ، ᵃˢ ᵗʰᵉʳᵉ ᶦˢ ᵃ ᵗʸᵖᵒ ᶦⁿ ᵇᵒᵗʰ ᵗʰᵉ ˢᵘᵇᵗᶦᵗˡᵉˢ ᵒⁿ ˢᶜʳᵉᵉⁿ، ᵃⁿᵈ ᶦⁿ ʷʰᵃᵗ ʰᵉ ˢᵃᶦᵈ⁾

I have recorded a video of this occurrence, otherwise, it would be rather unbelievable:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NONUYwLT4vg

No language hotkey was pressed during the recording of the aforementioned video, and the intended language switch was done manually via a mouse cursor (thus highlighting the unintentional language switching occurring afterwards).

Other applications appear to work correctly, i.e. when subtitle workshop is not in focus, I can switch languages just fine, a psát tak klidně i diakritiku - jak se mi zlíbí. :)

I.e. the glitchly language switching triggered via Subtitle Workshop is probably caused when a GUI event triggers (like entering a textbox - for example the subtitle editor input textbox).

Closing and opening the project did not fix the issue. Closing and reopening the entire subtitle workshop did however fix the issue.

I am not touching that subtitle item line again. It's cursed now. :D :D :D

Could you check please if this also happens when you enter that specific line in the edit box in this added project?
    Thanks in advance.

Don't worry, I heard you the first time, just didn't have the time to respond and test.

The issue is persisting, so the text box itself does seem to be the problem (this is Delphi component, right?).

First, I tried it again in "vanilla" workshop. Inserting the line DID trigger a change to the English layout, even though it wasn't visible at first. I typed "č" while the Czech layout was visually set, and the result was a visual switch to the English layout... and a "4". See the attachment. So I don't even have to change list items, etc.

Then I made two printscreens - one before inserting the line, and then after, for the Project2.exe. The layout switched instantly by itself, which is quite the rogue behavior. Looks like it is a fault of the textbox component and not anything else (which is presumably what you were trying to accomplish - removing other probabilities).
