#94 4.9.beta2 fails to start up in Ubuntu

After upgrading from 4.8 to 4.9.beta2 on Ubuntu, subsonic fails to start up.

In the logs, most of the errors are

org.hsqldb.HsqlException: Value too long

errors, and there is a single

ERROR org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoader - Context initialization failed

in the sh log before any other errors appear.
