Q) Why create yet another subliminal message application? Aren't there enough already?

A) Originally I had no intentions of creating my own application, but I knew I wouldn't feel comfortable using this type of software unless it was open source. When I first got the idea to use subliminal message software, I was quite sure that I would find an existing open source application that is easy-to-use and that would suit my needs. Alas, if there is a feature-complete, open source subliminal message application out there then I did not find it. The best applications that I did find were all closed source and the few open source solutions that I found were sadly lacking in many areas. Thus, I decided to build my own software and release it publicly for anyone else who might benefit. I'm very happy with the end result and I hope you will be too!

Q) Most other subliminal message applications provide sample messages in the form of statements called affirmations but your application provides sample messages in the form of questions called afformations. What is the difference between affirmations and afformations and why choose the latter?

A) To get the best answer to this question you really should read the book, "The Great Little Book of Afformations" by Noah St. John, but I will try to give a simplified answer here:

An example affirmation would be, "I am happy". This is a definitive statement about your current level of happiness which may be difficult to believe if you do not feel happy and instead feel angry or sad or some other emotion. Afformations turn this around by asking a question, such as, "Why am I so happy?". According to Noah St. John, afformations cause your subconcious mind to go looking for the answer to your question. While continually repeating affirmations may work for some people, many others feel they are just lying to themselves and this disbelief can cause the affirmation to fail. Afformations on the other hand, do not contain this same pitfall and when you ask a positive question about yourself, your subconcious mind works in conjunction with the universe to provide you with situations and circumstances that support your positive belief. But how can this all be possible? Be sure to pick up the book mentioned above to find a much more complete answer.

The bottom line here is that this software will work with any type of message. If you feel that affirmations will work better for you then you are more than welcome to use whatever works best in your individual situation!

Q) I have created a localized translation for a language that you do not yet support in your application. Can I send it to you so that it can be included in future versions of the software?

A) Yes, please! After you have finished the translation, you may send the xml file to me via email: joseph@subliminalmsgs.net.

If you are using the installer version, you will find the translation file in the following directory: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\SubliminalMsgsDotNet\Languages

If you are using the portable version, you will find the translation file in the Languages directory wherever you have placed the extracted software files.
