#13 Problems in gentoo

Hi Rob,

In reference to the other tickets with bug reports, it is rare that nobody else has these problems and asking other users tell me things that happen to me does not happen to them, yesterday I reinstalled Gentoo from scratch, I have just kde 4.14 .3r1 installed, I installed qtcurve, bespin, beshell and style project, i continued having problems, added some glitches and window shadows crashs.

something I can check? maybe I have some outdated package or I'm missing, apparently it's something related to kwin, the effects of windows transition have glitches, and finally end up crashing shadows,

with qtcurve and bespin I have no problem, work very well.

what think i can check or how generate a log for you?

So what exactly happens then? What crashes? KWin? Some other app?

Are you using translucency (see-through windows)? ---> kwin effects will have flicker, thats a known issue, is that the 'glitches' you are referring to?

Hi rob,

Sorry im miss from this, im back, i have a fresh install of gentoo from scratch, and problem persist, no shadows, some elements like toolbar for example when you are in system settings and go to apparence the toolbar do like a redraw, for example im using a theme from hombremaledicto and for my looks bad, i have kde 4 and the qt packages update to 4.8.7, maybe i have some miss packages or use flag? i attach my list of packages and versions:

kde4 related
