Hi rob, Im here!!! (samuaz from deviantart)

First of all, this is incredible and finally you release it! thanks you!

I know all this is under development, thanks for the hard work, respectfully i have some requests and suggestions to report:

requests:

  1. Make the line frames / borders use the background color of the element instead of black.

Currently the edge of the elements is being drawn in black and intensity is controlled by shadows.opacity = x. the problem is that we want to use certain light colors but these edges are drawn in black breaking design, maybe if instead of black these frame borders take the background color of item/window/widget as base, and the shadow opacity continue controlling its intensity, but in this way, the desing would be more harmonic desing asHi rob, Im here!!! 1. Separate the shadow settings of the elements, right now the shadow.opacity
control all shadows of elements frame/borders, with a individual settings we can have more design possibilities, because in some situations we want to disable the combo box shadows but have shadows/border frames in the buttons or others elements, some maybe having a separate shadow opacity settings for buttons, combobox and widgets would be better.

  1. add internal padding/margins to the buttons, inputs a droplist with Carved shadow, right now the text or elements like arrows or icons inside a element with carved shadow (my favorite) Fall outside the element see screenshot:

About the shadows, you cant possibly know how the ppl at apple calculate the colors. Also, if you stand in front of the sun, and look the oppsite direction, the shadow is always black, not completely opaque, but black, so shadows will stay black, you can set the opacity according to the docs in percentage 0 - 100 (if you set it to say 40 ish then youll get the results the second screen shows).

About the individual shadow opacity, well, that would be wrong since then widgets would have different shadow intensity, and that would look wrong, so I dont see why that would be good. sry.

About the padding, some widgets simply dont obey the pixelMetrics, not sure if this was the case here, but I dont see any problems, also, this could be because of the fontMetrics (some fonts have broken fontMetrics, so maybe try another font?).

Also, its impossible to set the scrollbar groove to transparent, this is due to a Qt bug, and the color doesnt match the view because that view is an idiot and paints its background w/ Qt::transparent rather then setAutoFillBackground(false) and setting the background role to QPalette::Window.

sry I dont agree w/ you on your suggestions.

about the arrow, im not sure, I would like 2 arrows when user can scroll up and down, and one (the apropriate) arrow when only up/down, havent finished this yet.

if you want to disable the text shadow just apply a text color w/ alpha < 255.

for the toolbars, im not able to reproduce, try w/ default settings.

feel free to post whatever you want, BUT, try and keep the tickets separate.
otherwise Ill not be able to keep track of everything.
