I m trying to map large data using stxxl in my app. The app is on windows.
I understand mmap is not available. I know that the data access thru memory map will be faster than any others means. But in windows, how far the use of syscall/boostfd/wincall will benefits?
    Are they do paging anyhow?

    Thanks in advance.

The only advantage of mmap is that there may be less copying around of data. However, with plain mmapped data you don't do prefetching or overlapping I/O, which hav a higher potential to speed up your application.
