#2 Compatibility Issue with old Avalon Version

We seem to have a compatibility issue when using the
FOP-Extension Barcode4J which needs the latest Avalon
Release.

StrutsCX still seems to rely on the older
avalon-framework-cvs-20020806.jar
library.

At the moment we are not able to use both StrutsCX and
Barcode4J as there are runtime-exceptions because of
missing methods in the avalon framework.

Is there a chance for a release of StrutsCX that
utilizes a newer version of Avalon or instead another
framework since Avalon is no longer beeing supported?

If there is a workaround for this issue we would be
happy to know about that, since - like in every project
- we are always short on time.
