Hey Acidus... I have a question for you. When you made the parallel port adapter why didn't you just use pins 2-9 (Data0-7)? In both ECP and EPP modes those lines are bi-directional. That gives us room for reading/writing all three tracks (Data0-5) and that leaves us with room for the possibility of adding the ability to read Smart Cards. The card present line ought to go on a control line. What are your thoughts on this? How hard would it be to get SS to read the Data lines?
