I got this Magtek (90 mm) model #21045011 (dual track) reader..but it has 7 wires coming out of it....i want to be able to convert this to a PS2 connection.. Has anyone did something like this before? I will show u the product data file with wire schemetics. http://www.magtek.com/documentation/public/99831083-5.pdf
and the (ps2) Keyboard connection pinouts are here.

Which wire would i join from the magnetic reader to the keyboard connector?
thanks
anyone?
Your MagTek is a TTL reader and PS/2 is a serial interface.
You'll need some circuitry beyond just a pin-to-pin connection between them.
^ what type of circuitry would i need? all help would be appreicated!
I'm not into digital circuit design, but suspect it'd be more complex than you'd want to tackle.
If you have no input options other than PS/2, you'd probably be better off looking around on eBay for a PS/2 card reader.
