Can anyone recommend a mag stripe reder that will work with Stripe Snoop that's available (and cheap) in the UK? I can't find anyone selling the Omron readers. I've found a Joms MR-2106, but no data concerning it. Does anyone know what this is, or whether it will work?
I've also found a Neuron MCR-570-1R-0201. Anyone know what this is?
In general, how difficult is it normally to get a previously unknown TTL reader to work with Stripe Snoop?
Many thanks,
Rowan

Thanks for your suggestion. I had found this site, but the link to the datasheet for these readers doesn't work. I've now e-mailed them to ask for more info.

I've found two possible readers:
- Neuron MCR-570H-1R-0101
- Japan Steel Works (or JOMS) MR-2106-001 (Tracks 2 & 3 compact open frame mag card reader, TTL)
Both of these produce three signals per track, CLS-bar, RDP-bar and RCP-bar.
The Neuron reader says it conforms to ISO 7810, 7811/1, 7811/2, 7/3, 7811/4, 7811/5 (ID-1).
The JOMS reader says it conforms to ISO 7810, 7811/2 and 7811/4. The Neuron reader says it conforms in addition to ISO 7811/1, 7811/3, 7811/5 (ID-1).
The JOMS one says it supports 75 bpi and 210 BPI. The Neuron one doesn't explicitly say what BPIs it supports.
Neither of these readers says whether it is compatible with high or low coercivity cards. Is this actually an issue for a reader, or only for a card writer?
Will both these readers work OK with Stripe Snoop? Are there any other issues that I should be cautious of before I buy one of them? I'm thinking of interfacing it via the Atmel AT90USBKey as described in http://ossguy.com/ss_usb/
Many thanks for your help.

Google is your friend. Here's the company. Ask them for the pinout.
