Yes, if you have a magnetic stripe reader that uses serial and sends data over the serial port in a standard fashion (like Kaneswipe's serial reader: http://www.kanecal.net/mag-stripe-reader-scanner.html\). If you have a TTL reader, such as the Omron V3B-4K, it will not work. See the FAQ (http://stripesnoop.sourceforge.net/faq.html#a21) for more details.
