General MIDI includes several Guitar and Bass voices.
It might be useful to allow the user to pick one. This could have practical impact when the MIDI implementation on the phone is crappy for one voice, but not so bad for another. And maybe some people would find a different voice easier to hear and use, than the default one. Unfortunately, for Violin, Cello, and Banjo, there is only one voice each. Well I guess there's the Viola. Oh and there's Fiddle.

Might implement a menu item for each tuning "Activity" that shows a voice preference for that tuning.

    More voices (including a "slow violin") are available in General MIDI Level 2

    There is also Ukulele -- which is commonly tuned more than one way.
    Likewise Mandolin.

    To do this with any generality, will have to dispense with the pre-built MIDI files.
    It should be possible to generate those, put them in a cache, then read them in when needed.
