Is it possible to save a text file of the tracks ripped from a stream?

Basically I want a text file of what appears in the terminal.

    Thanks - great app BTW

how about output to file by ">" ">>"

    ex.: streamripper http://streamlink:streamport > /tmp/youtput.txt
    or to console and file
    ex.: streamripper http://streamlink:streamport | tee /tmp/youtput.txt

I want to use streamripper to rip the metadata only, without ripping the actual stream. Possible?

Also, I would like to change the format of the output file, so that it only writes one line per song, and so that it is song and artist only, with no other data, like this

    Artist - Song Title
    Next artist - Next song

Basically I just want a playlist of all songs played - I don't care about the music. If I can make it output in CSV or XML, that would be a huge bonus!

Ideas on how to achieve this?
