Hi, Roland McGrath: > There is a fix in 4.5.1 that may be relevant. Debian made it harder for me > to upload packages, so I think I failed to do so for the 4.5.1 release. NB: if you'd like me to upload 4.5.1 to Debian-unstable, and/or the CVS head to Debian-experimental, just say so. > Please try the current strace from cvs just in case of any wonkiness there. I will. > How much of the time does the problem hit for you? On the SMP system it passes about 10% of the time, 40% hangs, and the rest crashes with "umoven:no such process" _and_ "[tcb table full]". Roughly. On my single-CPU system, half of the time it passes, the rest dies with "[tcb table full]" (no "umoven" error). Needless to say, I don't like nondeterminism. I'll report what, if anything, changes with CVS head. -- Matthias Urlichs | noris network AG | http://smurf.noris.de/ |
