STIHRS 0.2.0 Released

STIHRS 0.2.0 has been released, and can by downloaded now. Version 0.2.0 contains many updates, including a scroll bar in the active area, proper display of the select writer combo box, and grayed-out toolbar and menu buttons. It also contains numerous new features, bug fixes, and minor tweaks in different areas, giving this version a much more polished feel than the previous versions. The code has also been greatly restructured to make cross-platform development much easier. This was done in order to add support for Mac OS X, but the Mac component is not quite finished yet, so there will be another release soon that will add Mac support.

STIHRS 0.1.2 Released

STIHRS 0.1.2 has been released, and is available in the downloads page. There are a number of new features and bug fixes, especially for the user interface. The program finally has an installer, so you no longer have to copy the files from the zip file to a separate directory. It also answers the one feature request that we received by adding a document system so handwritten data and text can be saved together. Another notable change is the addition of a simple script system. For a complete list of changes, see the change log.

STIHRS 0.1.1 Released

The second release of STIHRS, version 0.1.1, can now be downloaded on the download page. In addition to a few bug fixes, the spell check system is now much better and the program now keeps track of every writer so you don't have to train it every time.

Unfortunately, there is still no install system, so you still have to copy everything into a folder. For the next release, hopefully there will be an install system as well as an improvement in the actual handwriting recognition.

STIHRS 0.1.0 Released

The first version of STIHRS has been released. It is somewhat unstable and many features are missing, but the main functionality works.

Note that for this version, the program is not installed; you simply copy the contents from the zip file into a folder. This will hopefully be fixed for the next version.
