#1 No programs (e.g. vis5d+ and glxgears, etc.) work

With any stereo mode in the .stereoglrc file, I get messages like:

The only mode that doesn't crash is STGL_MODE=6 , but vis5d+ reports that
stereo is still unavailable even with STGL_FORCE_STEREO=1

. My .stereoglrc is:

The same kind of error appears with glxgears:

All the tunnel test programs work, but none of the other programs work.
