&lt;p&gt;The Core Functions are simply the functions required to implement the Stepping Framework Methodology within a language or test tool. Typically these functions would be:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1)    Step Processor&lt;br /&gt;
2)    Datasheet Reader&lt;br /&gt;
2.1)    Read Step Sequence&lt;br /&gt;
2.2)    Read Data Set&lt;br /&gt;
3)    Save/Create Variable&lt;/p&gt;
