The only consistent thing between each system appears to be that they select a R/G/B 5/5/5 mode, then fail to get info about that mode using OpenGL, falling back to Direct3D and repeating the process under that, except this time an exception is thrown and the program outright crashes. I'm not sure if this is a SM, DirectX, or driver issue. All three systems have had different chipsets (ranging from the laughable S3 ViRGE here all the way up to a mighty Radeon 8500!) so I'm doubting drivers as the cause. Also of interest -- first DirectSound device is <garbage>? You see this again in the DirectInput devices. (I didn't look to see if the other reports had this issue as well, hm Might be worth digging them up.) I'm beginning to think DirectX 9 is the culprit here, though I've never worked on Windows, so I don't know for sure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=421366&aid=1164310&group_id=37892 |
