The planet shadows seem to work OK now although there are only shadows of three of the Galilean moons. I gather they are too small to cast shadows. I can't load the meteor shower plug in without crashing (windows Msys and angle). I reported this earlier and a fix was made but this did not improve matters. Interesting. Sound worked for me since November or so if activated in CMakeLists.txt. And the MeteorShower plugin also works for me. (currently Qt5.2/MinGW/OpenGL on an i7/NVidia notebook). Hi I got the meteor shower to work with the latest json file. There was an old copy in the user area causing trouble. I had to manually update it. However I have tried all the suggestions for the sound on 5 computers running a combination of XP, Win 7 and win 8.1 but can't get it to work. I can't compile in linux at the moment because I can't get Qt 5.2 installed on the virtual computer. I just tried and was able to compile on Windows 7 with both Qt 5.3 ANGLE (VS 2013) and Qt 5.3 OpenGL (VS 2012). My OpenGL drivers are up to date. I think it still makes more sense to use the ANGLE version on Windows. Note: I had to locally revert the commit r6838 otherwise cmake was unable to generate the project, maybe the version used by Alexander is not the same as mine (3.0.0)? Hi, I just fixed compilation using Qt5.3 ANGLE + MSVC 2013 on Windows 7. Shaders are compiling fine, ring shadow is working, but panet shadows are not visible. I'll investigate more tomorrow. Also, I found that using MSVC it's a real plain to deal with the zlib dependency as we need 4 versions for debug/release/32 bits/64 bit. So I decided to directly include the zlib code within Stellarium code (built only on windows). This allows to simplify the build procedure quite a lot: bascially now we just need to install Visual Studio Express 2013, Qt + QtCreator 5.3 (ANGLE), cmake. Then simply open CMakeList.txt from qtcreator and build. Maybe Alexander you can update the wiki page to remove all instructions about zlib Tomorrow I'll try to merge the branch from Guillaume to get rid of KDE files on windows.
