Hello to all. There's a pending issue with our SourceForge page, and I would like some discussion about it. SourceForge are in the process of migrating all project pages to the Allura platform. They are warning that it's better to initiate the migration manually in a moment chosen by us, instead of waiting to be automatically updated later, as this will allow us to organize better the clean-up after the migration. There is a page listing the things that will be (and won't be) affected by the migration, but it seems to be visible only to project admins. :| A brief summary: Things that will stay the same: the main project page, downloads, download stats and reviews. Things that will be gone, at least for now: various traffic counters, including the tracker (which we don't use), the forum and the website (the SF logo counter, which we actually use the last time I checked.) Everything else will be "updated", which sounds somewhat ominous. The URLs of code repostiories will change, which will affect a small number of links in the online developers documentation and the Wiki (MediaWiki has a nice linksearch tool that may be useful). The forums and mailing list pages also may change, causing more broken links. The scary part is the update to the Project Web (i.e. the website hosting) and the MySQL database (i.e. the wiki). I think that the only people with access to the website available at the moment are Alex Wolf and me (and my Internet access is not very stable). Is this correct? I'm afraid to start the migration without sufficient backup/reinforcements, which means that it may be better to schedule for a later date. Regards, Bogdan Marinov |

Main website now stored into bazaar and we have "backups" for it - we can just fetch it from repo again. Exclude: settings for mediawiki. We don't have actual copy of MySQL data (IMHO). -- With best regards, Alexander |

Exclude: settings for mediawiki. We > don't have actual copy of MySQL data (IMHO). There was a procedure for backing up the database that I've used before. I need to look it up. It's possible that you'll have to download the database copy, if it's too big for my slow connection. I'll get the MW settings. Bogdan |

An update: I initiated the upgrade process on Sunday. Apparently, it took four days to finish. :( There also seems to be a problem with the SVN repository that will be upgraded later. Right now I'm trying to make sense of the new features and the new interface. If you want something enabled or disabled, please say so. (For example, there was a "wiki" that I just disabled.) http://sourceforge.net/p/allura/wiki/Features/ Regards, Bogdan Marinov |

They are visible only to team-members now, similar to the inactive "Developer" sub-forum. SourceForge apparently have finished the migration of the SVN repo, but I can't load the page. I tried another project, but it doesn't load either. It's possible that the reason is in my weak Internet connection. Can someone else try to load http://sourceforge.net/p/stellarium/code/ and report the result, please? SF's previous code browsing was nice, I don't understand why they had to tweak it. Spinning on "Repo status: initializing..." for me as well. I'm at work with a pretty fast connection.
