I was just reminded that I wanted to add the ability to show orbit lines for natural satellites, but at the time there was no easy way to handle the depth issue of orbits passing in front of and behind the planet in different projections. Does anyone have a solution for that other than moving to vertex shaders for each projection type? Rob |

So enable the depth buffer, and use the distance from the observer as the z value even as we draw in 2d? Isn't there a depth resolution problem that prevents enabling that globally?
