Hi Andy! We are all very interested by this feature :) I would be happy to give you technical advices and give a hand on your work. Artificial satellites is such an important feature that if you manage it, it will be quickly promoted as a standard module :) If you need changes in the core (classes related to solar system are the last ones needing a clean) , please don't hesitate to modify it and send patches. Do you have a SVN or somewhere we can access your code?
