Hi Georg

The compile is complete and the program runs
The splash screen was screwy. No splash and some stray inverted sections of of a landscape. I think they may have been in the video memory.

version 5147 ran at 15.5 fps no grid lines but all stars and a large landscape. All plugins loaded except the new ones pulsars.super nova, quasars, exoplanets, observability and renderers. Screen size 1100 x 560

Version 5604 runs at 11.1 fps with the same settings
With everything turned off speed goes to 12.8 Fps

Hi Goerg
I  dragged out my standby Acer emachine. Last stellarium build 5147 about 18 months ago
I installed Qt 4.8.2 in lieu of 4.7.1 and the new Mingw
Next pulled down the bazaar and got build 5604
I have amost finished the compile
Been on it continuously for 4 hrs now
When finished I will compare the reults with yours
