Is it me? The latest release as of July '12 has a new graphical image of Moon
- one that appears to have been created using the latest close pass images
from directly overhead the surface. That's fine if we were seeing the surface
from the same position as the imager, but we're not. Let's have the old image
back please - the one that shows the (albeit reduced} detail as seen from
Earth (and elsewhere) and includes the shadows. This new image looks like a
very over-processed photo-shop version. It may be more 'accurate' but that
itself is subjective - if we view a surface (any surface) through fog are we
to see the close up detail rather than visible image? I think not - to do so
would be unrealistic, and so is this latest Moon image.
You seem to have CSS turned off.

Eeee that's grand ... I rescued a copy of the texture png file from a friend
who'd refused to update to 11.3 after seeing mine. All is now well again.
There are at least three textures of the moon available, the original
lune.png, a high res version of the same at 1024 x 1024 and the new one
moon.png which looks over processed.
You can use any of the three as long as they have different names. The version
to be used can be set in the ssystem.ini file
