FishEye Script

    What is the equivalent Stellarium script like core.moveToAltAzi(90, 0, 1) that
    I can use in FishEye to always have South on the bottom of the screen and have
    the caridnal points centered and the sky centered in the screen?

    Try this:
    StelMovementMgr.zoomTo(180, 1);
    core.moveToAltAzi(89.5,180, 1);

    It's worth mentioning perhaps that Nightshade is a Stellarium port focussed on
    the needs of planetaria, which uses fisheye projection as standard.

    Isn't nightshade based on stellarium 0.6ish? Or is it just the QT UI of v0.6?

    Nightshade is not a port of Stellarium; it was a fork. And it's very, very
    outdated now.

    Nightshade ( is indeed a
    fork of Stellarium (after 0.8.2). Reasons are explained on the website.

    Because we have a different user base, our priorities are somewhat different.
    So features that are not used much could seem dated, while other features
    surpass anything Stellarium can do. But it's definitely not out of date. The
    latest Nightshade release is actually more current than Stellarium's.

    We intend to keep pushing the envelope, and are currently working on removing
    all the legacy Stellarium code in favor of a more standard and extensible
    architecture planned for release this summer. (And no, we do not and will not
    be using Qt.) We will keep our backward compatibility with StratoScripts and
    the general keyboard interface.

    Have to disagree with you there, the latest Nightshade release was December
    21st. That's more recent than Stellarium even. Some features may seem dated to
    you, but others are far ahead.
