In version .11.2 how do I get an exact FOV without using the mouse? I have a
You seem to have CSS turned off.
Please don't fill out this field.
You can fiddle with the page up/page down keys till you get what you want or
You can make an entry in the config.ini file under:
init_fov = <fov in degrees.
or you can write a little script to zoom to the FOV you want.
What Barry said, also, Shift+PageUp and Shift+PageDown make it go slower. For
the script, you can hit F12 to open the script console and then type in this
(example for 15 degrees field of view):
Hit control+return or click the run button to execute the command.
I have the Mac version. The F12 key doesn't seem to work. It's the speaker
volume key. Also, does the newest version use a config doc, and if so, is it
available on the Mac?
Is there a special section for shortcuts for the Mac?
this doesn't work. The Fn key and f12 bring up the calculator.
Well, neither launching a program (calculator) nor adjusting the screen
brightness are Stellarium features. It seems that the F12 keypress event is
getting intercepted by your operating system before it gets sent to
Stellarium. Understanding your own computer's configuration is up to you. I
suggest doing some googling. I don't actually have a mac, so there's not a lot
else I can do to help.
Thanks, matt. I will call apple support or figure out how to disable the f12
key so it doesn't interefere.
What are the windows version keys for making the script bar appear? Is it F12
or a combo?
Still F12. And it's the script console since a few years ago. The script bar
was from the 0.9.x series. before we changed to the new script engine.
