Why does my UK location show that the sun has just risen at 22:10 at night? How come the makers are unable to insert a patch that uses your current location using GPS instead of having to manually feed in the location. The GPS could be the default then if we wanted to see info from other locations then we could do a manual feed.

By default Stellarium uses the stored data for your computer date time and location. Check that this is correct first. Stellarium does not have a GPS system. It is just computer software and relies on the user entering their home location at setup.
