Yes, we have plan to building 64-bit package for Windows, but not for nearest future because technically we can build it right now. But (!) we should building Win64 application via MSVC and some it specific features will damage work of part of star catalogs. We should solve this issue before release win64 app.

You can use 32-bit Stellarium on 64-bit Windows

I tried using the 32 bit version on Windows 7 64 bit and the program will NOT run. It will not even start up. Am I doing something wrong? Please advise. Thanks!

I use Stellarium 32 bit on Windows 7 64 bit for years, no problems. So there must be a problem with your system.

Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18247, time stamp: 0x521ea8e7

There's a lot left to the imagination here but ...

Exception code 0xc00000fd is a stack overflow error, usually related to a missing or corrupt system file. You say that the 64bit version works, but if you do not COMPLETELY uninstall it before installing the 32bit version, you may end up with some rogue system files mucking up the works.

    ... just saying.

It's possible to use Stellarium with ASCOM Drivers?
Example: for Gemini Pulsar GoTo, or DA2 Goto?
    How?
    Thankyou. CiGi Italy.

Sorry its not working with win7pro 64bit

Maybe there are some settings/drivers that went a-wire on your installation, I have installed the 0.12.4 64bit version as stated above on my win7pro 64bit and it works flawless...
You could try to completely uninstall stellarium, and do fresh re-install, maybe it will help

      Clear skies

    Personally I have never had trouble with a 64bit version on W7 64bit OR the 32bit on W7 64bit.

I'm also now downloading 0.13.1 version 64bit to give her a go ..

    Thanks to the Dev's :-)

    I'm the poster above>

Lovely! , the cpu cores are even shared equally too now (AMD 4core Phenom2) , FPS was a constant 15.8 .

I really like this Stellarium version so far , thanks again ...
