This is a Java based MAME Frontend: this application supports Xmame and the Windows command line, is skinnable, supports multiple mame executables and rom directories, can save a different config file for each game etc. New in this release: fixed a serious bug occuring when Romeo checks wheter all files needed by a ROM are available.

Born to be a java frontend to XMame, now Romeo supports the Windows command line too. This application has a lot of features: it' s skinnable, supports multiple mame executable and rom directories, can download files from the internet, can show snap, flyers, marquees, cabinet photos, and history info for each selected game, can save a configuration file for each rom. New in this release: added a Spanish translation (courtesy of Luis Oscar Villalvazo), fixed a lot of bugs, added support for mame Windows command line.

Another development version: added support for Mamu' s Icons for X and multiple rom directories; added the possibility to choose three different data storing types (XML, MySQL, clear text); restored a minimal backward compatibility with xmame <= 0.66 etc...

This is a development version with a lot of enhancements:
the help system is now JavaHelp based, it' s possible to change the icon set, the main window is now less "1024x768" friendly, the proggy now puts the list of games into a memory stack to guarantee a faster access to the data, the settings window has been totally rewritten to support new features...

Modified void to retrieve list of games: now it' s very fast. Romeo can be skinned at runtime. Added the possibility to show/hide tool bars and status bar. Modified Settings Window: added a specific tab with a few controls for the list of games...

Romeo is a java frontend to xmame. It has a lot of featurs:
Romeo is skinnable, can download files (roms, snaps, cabinets photos etc.) from the internet, supports internationalized text etc.

This is the first public release. At this time, Romeo has a good number of features. In the next version I will try to enhance its
performances.
