The icons used in the directory tree display may be hard to comprehend for anyone not familiar with SVN process or the standard(ish) SVN icon overlay graphics. In particular that a directory/file can appear in the tree, but be deleted in the repository (red cross). A small key below the tree graph would help clarify that.

The icons don't have anything to do with SVN.

    - folder icon: directory
    - folder icon with big X on top: deleleted directory

Do we use other icons that you found confusing?

Nope, those are the only two so far, unless you do actually use the 'file', 'file-deleted' or 'bug' icons somewhere. [I also spotted a 'gorilla.jpg' in the jar, but that's part of the jfree chart stuff and anyway, don't mess with 5500k gorillas.]

Confusion brief; a big red X usually means trouble and I was keen to know what sort of trouble it was. Initially I was worried it meant the StatSVN had failed to stat a 'real' item, or some true problem with the repository was being flagged up. It's clear now, thanks.

    Hi *

I would suggest that StatCVS (the one generating the html or xdoc) adds an ALT entry for the img tag with a brief description like "folder deleted", etc At least by putting the mouse in front of it, it would provide more info.

    My £0.02 suggestion

The 'solution' of a title for each icon is going to be added in StatCVS and will therefore be included in the next release of StatSVN.
