Hi all, has anyone else come across the bug 1711322. I made a post a few days ago but there was no reply, even though this has been opened since 02/05/2007. Is there anyway to overcome this issue without changing the code and rebuilding? thanx /axel |

We are pleased to announce the statsvn 0.4.1 release! http://www.statsvn.org StatSVN retrieves information from a Subversion repository and generates various tables and charts describing the project development, e.g. timeline for the lines of code, contribution of each developer etc. The current version of StatSVN generates a static suite of HTML documents containing tables and chart images. StatSVN is open source software, released under the terms of the LGPL, based on StatCVS. StatSVN uses JFreeChart to generate charts. ============================================================================ === Changes in this version include: New Features: o Add charset option on command line. o Add maillist as Nabble forums. Fixed bugs: o Fixed issue when the only change was a property change. Fixes 1963918. Thanks to Joseph Armbruster. o Fixed issue in command line help with regards to -concurrency-threshold Fixes 1993217. Thanks to Edward Oubrayrie. ============================================================================ === Issues, bugs, and feature requests for statsvn should be submitted to the following issue tracking system: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=164845 Have fun! -The statsvn development team |

We are pleased to announce the StatCVS 0.4.0 release! http://statcvs.sf.net StatCVS retrieves information from a CVS repository and generates various tables and charts describing the project development, e.g. timeline for the lines of code, contribution of each developer etc. The current version of StatCVS generates a static suite of HTML documents containing tables and chart images. StatCVS is open source software, released under the terms of the LGPL. StatCVS uses JFreeChart and JTreeMap to generate charts. ============================================================================ === Changes in this version include: New Features: o Added TRAC Support. Thanks to Jean-Francois Burdet. o Added 2 new reports The RepoMap and LOCChurn reports have been promoted to StatCVS and hence, removed from the StatSVN source tree. o Added support for auto-html links in comments. o Added LOCChartMaker NullPointerException. Applied suggested workaround from Shamil Bikineyev. o Applied patch to StatCVS to add Revision number on commit page. Thanks to Martin Majlis. Fixed bugs: o Applied patch to StatCVS to avoid divide by zero issue (patch returns NaN if attempted to divide by 0). Thanks to Jan Dockx. o Applied patch for [ 1757394 ] Do not lump C++ .C,.H files in "Others". Thanks to Richard Quirk. ============================================================================ === Issues, bugs, and feature requests for statcvs should be submitted to the following issue tracking system: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=57558 Have fun! -The StatCVS development team and http://www.appendium.com |

Hi All, Following our quick introduction last week, Jason and I went ahead and tackled a few items. First of all, we tried to apply some of the existing patches: Thanks! We added a few features and a new site with some QA reports. The beta is available on: http://statcvs.sourceforge.net/beta/ and the jar: http://statcvs.sourceforge.net/beta/statcvs.jar People familiar with the ObjectLab/Appendium suite of open source will recognize the type of sites that we create. Jason did an excellent blog post about the release so, I am not going to repeat it here but point you directly to http://blog.lavablast.com/post/2008/03/Upcoming-StatCVSStatSVN-release.aspx Maven also produces a list of changes: http://statcvs.sourceforge.net/beta/changes-report.html Please try the new release, let us know if there are any problems. and if there are, please provide patches too! The next release will probably be 0.4 with a view to move towards a 1.0 at some point! Many thanks Benoit. http://objectlab.blogspot.com/ |

Hello Everyone, I thought that I'd post a quick email to say that there will be a bit more activity on StatCVS. Jason and I have been committers for a few months (ok, not much activity I agree) but recently Project Admin on StatCVS, we're coming from the StatSVN team and that way, we have been using StatCVS indirectly. We would like to encourage the community to submit quality patches and enhancements. We will look at them. We would like to thank Martin Majlis for 2 enhancements: - The commit page will now show the revision (under StatSVN mainly) - The commit page will also tell you how many files were involved in the commit We have added 2 new reports which were initially developed for StatSVN - A dynamic repo map page (see http://www.statsvn.org/statsvn/repomap.html) - A LOC Churn page (see http://www.statsvn.org/statsvn/churn.html) These have been checked in. We do not have a tight timeline for any other enhancements but I would like to consider the following items: - Create a Maven 1 build to generate the web site and extra QA information (FindBugs, PMD, Simian, QALab). The Ant build would still be used and maintained. - Add some optional parameters to change the size of some charts if required (a CVS repo with lots of data may look a bit squeezed sometimes). Once it is done I guess we could move to a 0.4 release. Anyway, we thought we'd introduce ourselves All the best, >From London and Ottawa Benoit & Jason ------------------------------ IMPORTANT NOTICE This communication contains information that is considered confidential and may also be privileged . Hi, there are items in list of requested features, that should be implemented in StatCVS. Some requests already may be already solved in StatCVS mailing lists/bugs/patches. Request in StatSVN http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1839303&group_id=164845&atid=833329 and patch in StatCSV http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1919076&group_id=57558&atid=484572. So I would like to bind them, implement some requests, fix bugs (from StatSVN) into StatCSV. StatCVS team, I've made some modifications to StatCVS to support more advanced SLOC counting (i.e. blanks, comments, physical lines, etc.). I tried to keep the existing API intact as much as possible while building an extensible framework to support different code-counting tools. SCLC is implemented and I plan on also implementing USC's CodeCount. There are also many other things I'd like to finish (add new unit tests, more reports, remove some of my debugging code, general cleanup); however, I thought I'd share what I have all ready since it has the basic functionality in place. The new features are: * The simple built-in SLOC counter now differentiates blank from non-blank lines. * When using the SCLC counter you get comment line counts, physical lines counts, other line counts on the index page. The current patch is attached if you would like to incorporate the changes (note that in order to have SCLC match the old StatCVS count exactly you also need to patch SCLC for this issue http://code.google.com/p/sclc/issues/detail?id=4). Please feel free to suggest changes or improvements. Thanks, Michael |

Doug, Thanks for the pointer. Unless it's a problem with Richard C. I'm fine with getting the JAR from the StatSCM repository. This is really just a helpful aid for people to get a copy quickly instead of having to spend the time finding each tool individually. It is on the StatSCM Maven plugin repository. http://stat-scm.sourceforge.net/maven2/net/sf/stat-cvs/ StatSCM is published to repo1 and its POM references the stat-scm repository, where the plugin gets StatCVS and StatSVN. I guess you could use this repository to get StatCVS but this is NOT a release of StatCVS from the StatCVS team. It is the StatCVS src tree pulled into a Maven2 build, that I publish for the plugin. I therefore hope that it is OK but if you want the official StatCVS release then you will have to download it and publish it to your own repository. Good luck, Doug Culnane > I'm wondering if the latest StatCVS (v0.3) is available in any public > Maven repositories? I'm wondering if the latest StatCVS (v0.3) is available in any public Maven repositories? Searching mvnrepository.com shows just a reference to v0.1.3 (http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/statcvs/ statcvs/0.1.3). And if v0.3 is not out there, would it be possible to make it available in someplace like repo1? (and yes, it's the raw statCVS, and not the Maven plugin, that I'm looking for). I have a tool that is a set of Ant scripts to drive a number of code feedback tools (Glean - http://jbrugge.com/glean), and I'm putting together a script for people just getting started that will go out and grab as many of these tools for them as possible. I've found that the Maven Ant tasks can make this very easy, and that a lot of these tools have copies in places like repo1. From what I've heard, though, it's a fairly manual process to publish there, so I can understand why it may not be your first priority. Thanks for any info, John |

Jason, This happens because your Ant script redirects standard output *and* standard error into the log file. That way, the informative progress information generated by CVS ("cvs log: Logging ." and so on) also ends up in the logfile and confuses StatCVS. After a quick glance at [1], I think that adding a logError="true" attribute to the <exec/> task should fix it. This will write standard error to the screen instead of into the file. Ok, the next release will do this. Don't you think we can catch the vast majority of cases =20 with a flexible regex? Nice! I've put it into CVS and it will be in the next release.
