Psersonally I often run StatCvs on a different machine than the one that hosts 
the repository and has the passwd file with all login names. Nevertheless I 
think the patch might be useful to a few people. 

StatCvs-XML has a similiar switch that is used to parse real names from the 
maven project.xml file, therefore I think we may apply this patch as well.

Richard, what is your opinon on the patch?
