#32 Add copy by value

When copying model elements, they are copied by reference. That is, if you have, say, a diagram with model elements on it, you select all to create a new diagram similar to the first but have no relationship to the diagram from which you copied the elements, the model elements changed in the new diagram reflect those changes in the original diagram. This makes it difficult to do a copy & paste kind of reuse.

I would like to see a copy by value capability so that I can copy the value of model elements from one diagram to another and after the copy, the elements have lives of their own.

I saw similar feedback in bug 1960501 in this project's tracker. I think it's related.
