how to generate c++ code without overwrite

I want to generate some flow and generate c++ code. Implement it in visual
studio. Once in a while I want to add more classes in starUML and export
again. But then my files are overwritten.
I am probably stupid, but can someone explain what the workflow should be or
how I can do the above process more effortlessly ?

What I do is to use generate the code to a temp directory and then use a good
diff merge tool to merge the generated code into the existing code base. Not
the best solution I know, but it is better than cut-n-paste.
