Linux Problems

I recently had a chance to test Startup Helper on Linux. It did not work very well at all.

Besides a few minor things, on one Linux version, starting a program didn't work. If you're getting a 'Failed to show URI' error, I'm aware of that and trying to find a solution.
On another Linux version, apparently the Desktop class (which is needed for launching programs) wasn't supported, even though Java 1.6 was installed. I don't know if that is because I installed Java wrong or because of something else, but I'm looking into this problem too.

Maybe I need to find another way of launching programs, but that would be a less than ideal solution.

I'm hoping the OSX version works better...
