Call parking is the capability to put a call on hold from one phone, then to be able to pick the call up from a phone that did not originally ‘own’ the call.

The method to handle this feature is to define a specific dial sequence that is dialed for ‘parking’ the call. When a user with an active call dials this sequence, the call is transferred to an available ‘parking lot’ extension and remains on hold. The PBX announces to the user that parked the call the extension that the call was parked on. The user then hangs up their phone and any phone defined to the organization may dial *# plus extension of the parked call to be connected to the call.
