This is probably gonna be the largest part of the
project. Replacing the text & ANSI UI into a windowed
and graphical GUI.
Not just for viewing/browsing, I want to improve the
UI for editing. Right now you have to edit the maps,
menues, etc through a text editor.
Now this is also where I'll need the most input from
you, since I'm not sure how to go about this, nor how
it should finally look.

The Electronic Guildsman component of StarMap is essentially
a crude hypertext environment. The obvious choice for the
port would be HTML, perhaps viewed through the system
browser. In this manner, anyone creating a world in StarMap
could co-develop a web page, say for a campaign.

I've put an initial proposal for this up in the Doc
Manager. If it will help, I can produce some prototypes
(non-functional, though) that should give you an idea of
the look and feel of the options I list.
I've also read David's comment there. As noted elsewhere,
there's a tension between a program you run on your own
system, and one for internet usage. Might make sense for
David to make it a separate feature request? I don't want
to throw too much stuff on my plate at once, but it's
certainly worht thinking about further.
