I'd like to add another feature to the Quadrant-level
mapping.

I *think* that Jim wanted the starsystems on the map
to be color-coded according to which entry in the
government list owned them. But though I've done some
editing of my own starmaps, no color changes are
evident...Let's fix this.

In addition, while we're at color-coding, let's add in
a 'territory' mapping feature, which will show borders
of a definable distance/size around systems controlled
by the various governments.

"Territory" can be a slippery thing. Does a civilization
control the interstellar space surrounding its systems, as
in Star Trek, or do they merely control the starsystems,
with interstellar space being something more like
international waters here on earth, or simply unused,
unwanted, unneeded, as in "A Mote in God's Eye"? This
definitely has to be definable by the user.

    Not certain I'll have a separate quadrant-level mapping- I
was thinking about something a little more fluid.

BUT, color coding will be done, and I'll have something to
denote territory. In the case where the distance is 0 (per
    David's comments), I'll either try a one-pixel "ring" or
just color the text naming the system.

Myself, I'd think that at some level, there's a possibility
that not all planets within a system are owned by a single
empire. Or that soemone might not have planted an as-yet
undetected base on some moon or planetoid somewhere...

But one step at a time...
