Building and Running

This page tells you how to build and run StarlungOS
PLEASE NOTE: This OS can only be built and run on a Linux computer.

Building-
1. Insert a USB flash media drive into your computer
2. Extract the file you downloaded and then open up terminal and change to the StarlungOS directory using the command 'cd StarlungOS'
3. Then run the command 'sudo ./build.sh' and follow the prompt to compile the operating system on to your USB flash media.
4. Then, if you want to add some add-ons move on to step #5, but if you do not, eject your flash media
5. To download and install additional add-ons, go to the StarlungOS web page at http://starlightgraphics.co.nf/StarlungOS. When you have done this, extract the files and then drag them onto the USB flash media.

Running-
To run StarlungOS, plug your USB flash media onto your computer. Then boot from that USB media. If you want to run it on Mac, please read the guide labeled 'Running on Mac'
