Welcome to Starehe School Management System

School Management System is a database centred system which can be used for managing your school's day to day business. Starehe MS allows users to store almost all of their school's information electronically, including information on students, employees, properties, teaching materials and even allows for expansion of the database scope to feature user developments. Most importantly, this information is easily accessible to authorized users and provides a stone-hard wall to unauthorised access.

Starehe MS is highly flexible and can be configured to meet most individual school's needs. It is a multi-user system and can be used by hundreds concurrently. It runs on Microsoft Windows platform (Windows XP SP3 and Newer)

Starehe MS runs on a Local Area Network (LAN). However, if the School Management System server is configured to be a public server - with a static IP or domain name - it would not have a boundary limitation. Wherever you are, once you have an Internet connection and School Management System client installed, you can logon to the School Management System server easily just the same as if you were sitting in the school office. However, the speed limitation is up to both your client's and server's Internet speed.

The pre-release is a Visual studio project-style release and features no database functionality and is essentialy for the purpose of creating a feel of the UI. The pre-release has no embedded installer and you may need to manually download the pre-requisites for the application to run.
