Also, after running the following commands that cause the RC 22 on your=20 64-bit SLES 9 machine: =20 staf local process start shell command :37:date -s\"Fri Jul 13 13:00:02=20 GMT 2008\" RETURNSTDOUT STDERRTOSTDOUT WAIT staf local process start shell command :18:ntpdate timeserver WAIT=20 RETURNSTDOUT RETURNSTDERR Is STAFProc still running or has STAFProc been terminated? To verify if=20 STAF is still running, do: STAF local PING PING Assuming STAFProc is still running, then try the following scenarios: Scenario A: In a terminal, do: staf local process start shell command :37:date -s\"Fri Jul 13 13:00:02=20 GMT 2008\" RETURNSTDOUT STDERRTOSTDOUT WAIT In a different terminal, do: staf local delay delay 90000 In the terminal where you submitted the process start request to change=20 the date, do the following (while the delay for 90 seconds is running): staf local process start shell command :18:ntpdate timeserver WAIT=20 RETURNSTDOUT RETURNSTDERR When the process start request for "ntpdate timeserver" fails with RC 22,=20 does the DELAY request fail as well with RC 22 or does it complete=20 successfully after running for 90 seconds? Scenario B: In a terminal, do: staf local delay delay 90000 In a different terminal (while the DELAY request is running), do: staf local process start shell command :37:date -s\"Fri Jul 13 13:00:02=20 GMT 2008\" RETURNSTDOUT STDERRTOSTDOUT WAIT staf local process start shell command :18:ntpdate timeserver WAIT=20 RETURNSTDOUT RETURNSTDERR When the process start request for "ntpdate timeserver" fails with RC 22,=20 does the DELAY request fail as well with RC 22 or does it complete=20 successfully after running for 90 seconds? -------------------------------------------------------------- Sharon Lucas IBM Austin, lu...@us...
