Could someone shed some light on what this means:

Appears to connect fine, auth shown in security logs of the server, receives an IP.
What version of sstp-client are you using?

Could you please explain how you intend to set up sstp-client (by command line, or by pppd + plugin) and post more of the output from sstpc? Also, if you add the 'debug' option to pppd and send me the syslog output to my email: email@example.com
had the same issue, sstp-client v1.0.7.
my workaround is turning off bsd- and deflate compression options in advanced settings - problem is gone for now.
but I nonetheless get

This problem is solved in version network-manager-sstp (0.9.4-0ubuntu2)
