I maintain a UNIX gateway server which allows access from my employer's network to our client's servers. The majority of connections to this gateway are SSH and SCP.
I've been looking for a basic SOCKS server so that people can SSH and SCP directly to our client's systems. I'm hoping to find one which is still maintained as there are numerous old SOCKS proxy servers out there.
I'm not able to find any documentation on your code. Could you please let me know if this is designed to act in this way? How can I try it out?
Usage: <local_host> <local_port> [auth_login(:auth_pass)]
Note: the auth_pass must be an md5 (hex) hash
Doesn't mean much to me on its own!
