Patrick may be able to help you partially but I am not aware of any
document describing the calculations used in Brad's software.  You
may be aware, Brad passed away--so we cannot ask him.

I have found Frank Baker's estimation book to be the most detailed
explanation of IRT estimation in general.  I can get the full
citation is you like.  The book is a little expensive.

May I ask why you are interested in the calculations?
