Hi folks -
I'm new to this forum, and new to OpenSSI. Please pardon any ignorance,
expressed or implied. :^)
'Burned myself a KNOPPIX/OpenSSI Live CD, and am able to boot off of it
just fine with a dual-Opteron box. With a crossover cable in place
between 1st ethernet ports, i'm not getting a second box to boot via PXE.
'ssi-addnode' was run on the 1st node, and that all seemed to go fine.
I've tried 'invoke-rc.d dhcp restart', and 'invoke-rc.d inetd restart' to
It doesn't appear to even be getting a DHCP assignment ... it trys for
several seconds, then gives up and boots off it's own intenal disk.
When i allow it to go ahead and boot off it's disk, it likewise does not
get an assignment from the first node's DHCP server. And furthermore, if
i manually configure the 1st NIC of that now booted 2nd node, i can't even
'ping' the first node at it's 10.0.0.1 address. Nobody's home!
Ethernet ports are fine on either host when booted from internal disks.
Any tips or other clues? Thanks in advance.
